VALENCIA, Calif., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Wavien, Inc. announce plans today to introduce Wavien's proprietary Dual Paraboloid Reflector (DPR®) technology. Wavien, Inc. and Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN - News) DLP® Products will co-promote the DPR technology for the front projector market. Wavien's DPR technology extends the operating lifetime of standard arc lamps by over three times, reducing the frequency and cost of lamp replacement as well as significantly reducing maintenance downtime. The DPR system can be used with all standard arc lamps and traditional or advanced drivers including Brilliant Color pulse drive technology.

The DPR® Series of lamps use a patented Dual Parabolic Reflector platform to dramatically increase output and useful lamp life over existing older elliptical lamp systems. The unique 1:1 arc imaging of the DPR® Series preserves brightness with high efficiency and low Etendue ranges, making this illumination platform a perfect answer for the micro display projection industry. DPR® Series lamps are the right answer for the smallest of display panel sizes.

Brighten up Your LED

Emerging LED technologies also benefit from the Wavien RLP™ Technology ( Recycling Light Pipe).This patented optical system can drive the effective brightness of LED illumination systems up by as much as 40%. This allows significant brighter LED based display systems.

Extend Your Lamp Life

Projector With power ranging from as low as 25 W to as high as 5 KW, the DPR® Series lamp platform extends lamp life by reducing the system sensitivity to arc gap variance and its natural increase in operation. This dramatic increase in lamp life in the DPR® Series light engines, results in superior performance when integrated with small micro-display chips including DLP, LCOS, and HTPS.
