Wavien is a technology company based in California, specializing in the development of high performance brightness preserving light engines for the front projection & the RPTV industry.

VALENCIA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2006 -- Wavien, Inc., a technology company concentrating in the development of ultra-highperformance light engine technologies for front projectors and rear projection televisions, moved to a larger facility in Valencia, located in Southern California, on November 6, 2006.

Wavien currently offers its unique "Dual Paraboloid Reflector" (DPR™) technology using ultra-high-pressure arc lamps. Wavien is also moving into the LED illumination market using Wavien's "Recycling Light Pipe" (RLP™) technology. Both these technologies improve lamp life, brightness, and efficiency when teamed with applications in the projection display, fiber optics, and entertainment markets. Recently Wavien has moved to a new Headquarters in Valencia, California and as an overall expansion of Wavien, a new manufacturing line has been set up and qualified at TaYih Industrial Ltd., located in Tainan, Taiwan, to produce very-low-cost DPR lamps for the global lighting and projection display markets.

Wavien, Inc. continues to build on its extensive patent portfolio with additions in the areas of LED brightness improvement, front and rear projection as well as medical and fiber optic applications.

Example of improved performance of the Wavien DPR™ 200 over existing traditional “On-Axis” lamp platforms.

Wavien's technology provides more hours of brightness than traditional projection light technology.
Traditional projection light technology only offers just so much brightness which diminishes faster over time than Wavien's bulbs.
